GREENFIELD NEWS - 5 October 2011:

FAMILY NEWS:

Mr. Jack Cooke is at Ward 9 Prince Philip.
Ken and Joan Jarvis have celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary .

TUESDAY NEWS:
There will be a cakes stall this Tuesday and the first Tuesday of November in aid of the Breast Care Centre at Prince Philip Hospital. The Tuesday cakes stall have raised several thousand pounds for local good causes.

Every year we also support ‘Crisis at Christmas’ which opens centres all over the Christmas period for those who are homeless. This year we will also be supporting the work of the London City Mission who also have a Christmas programme.. The offerings taken will be divided between both causes. The offerings will be taken from Tuesday 13th October until the 29th of November.

It’s not too late to join with us for the Christmas lunch at the Lliedi Suite – Terry Pike would be glad to hear from you. We were also able to send £250 to the Ty Bryngwyn Hospice.


BIBLE STUDY:

Doreen Hartland will be re-commencing the course ‘The Christian God’ on Tuesday 11th October and Wednesday 12th October. From Tuesday 8th November we begin a five week course on Christian Discipleship. More information soon.


HALLELUJAH PARTY:

The annual Hallelujah Party will be held on Monday 31st October at 6pm the schoolroom. Music, fun, hot dogs and games as an alternative the Halloween. – All children and young people are more than welcome.


PANTOMIME:
Our annual visit to the Pantomime with our own Denny Twp will be on Saturday 28th January 2012 at 2pm. Children of the church go free of charge, all others £7.50. If you would like to come along then please give your names to Mrs Carol Jones.

CD RECORDINGS:

We are grateful to Darryl who records the services every Sunday and enables us to send edited recordings of two of the services fortnightly for the housebound and those who request them. We have now a new recorder which makes the process easier. If you would like someone you know to have a copy then please let us on Llanelli 741127.
